Spring Diesel Gala 2022
Featuring the visiting engine of the class 37 D6700 from the National Railway Museum and is on loan to the Great Central Railway for 5 years, engines from the home fleet include class 45 D123 Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry, class 25 D5185, class 37 37714, the blue class 101 and class 20 D8098. The only engine that was not running is the visiting class 55 Deltic 55009 which failed on Friday. Filmed at Leicester North, Quorn and Woodhouse, Loughborough Central and Rothley with onboard shots

A car show at Oadby Town Centre featuring classic cars, modern cars, a NASCAR racing car, motorbikes and even a Jurassic Park recreation car of a Jeep Wrangler. Also taking place was a open day at the Stoney Gate Tram Depot with vintage buses shuttling between Oadby Town Centre and the tram depot

Autumn Diesel Running Weekend
Great Central Railway Autumn Diesel Running Weekend, normally this would be the September Diesel Gala but due to a shortage of locos, the railway is running a Autumn Diesel Running Weekend with diesels of the Home Fleet, visiting the railway is the Derby Lightweight Railcar 79900 named “Iris” when it was a test coach in departmental use, home fleet engines featured are the class 37 D6700, Class 45 D123, Class 25 D5185 in its final appearance before it will undergo a overhaul, class 37 37714 and on display at Rothley the class 10 D4067 Filmed at the stations of Leicester North, Loughborough Central and Rothley

Moors Explorer Train Pickering to Grosmont
During 2022 the NYMR was running themed trains as they were managing capacity on its trains with the Whitby services running with booked seats named Seaside Special and Yorkshire Express, the railway also runs the Moors Explorer service between Pickering and Grosmont and this trip was hauled by BR Standard 4 Tank 80136 starting from Pickering, passing the Trout Farm Carriage Shed, stopping at Levisham and Goathland before arriving at Grosmont.

Annual Steam Gala 2022
The Railway ran their Annual Steam Gala with visiting locos along with steam locos from the home fleet, visiting engines include the recently overhauled LNER A4 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley in its temporary semi-matt black livery, BR Standard Class 5 73156 that was visiting from the Great Central Railway and Taff Vale Railway Class 02 No.85 visiting from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
